Florence, S.C. lawyer charged with DUI
A lawyer in Florence was charged with driving under the influence two days ago - as I've often said, DUI charges are the great equalizer and can happen to anyone; attorneys, judges, police, clergy, anyone.
Highway Patrol arrested the Florence County Attorney for driving under the influence.Police say [the attorney] hit a mailbox Sunday. He was taken to the Florence County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI and failure to report striking fixtures on or adjacent to highway.

[This attorney] is a great man and has done many things for Florence County. He has been battling cancer for 5 months and was arrested in his neighborhood after having 2 beers. He should not be judged by his character for this incident. Everyone in Florence is standing behind him.

I agree, which is why the attorney's name did not appear in my post (above comment edited to remove the name).

The attorney maybe a good man. Does that mean he doesnt have to take responsiblity for his actions? Everyone says"I only drunk two beer"!
